Ark House accepts patients and families that are referred through the social service departments of local hospitals. Patients and families come to Ark House from Texas, surrounding states, Alaska and from some foreign countries.

It is not uncommon to hear reports that a patient's family has been living and sleeping in the ICU waiting room, in the hospital lobby or in their car. Ark House provides an comfortable and safe place for families to live while their loved one is receiving medical care.
